From East 3rd Street go west until you intersect with College Ave.
Turn left on College Ave at the Convention Center. This is a one way street South. It will merge into South Walnut Street. Continue south past the high school and several car dealerships. You will go past a newly constructed Kroger and then go over a hill, at the next stop light, turn LEFT onto Fairfax Road. Continue 8-9 miles on Fairfax until you enter the State Recreation Area. In the spring, summer & fall there is an attendant who will collect fees for the State. We will reimburse you when you get to the front desk. We are straight ahead on the left, just past the public beach area. The trip should take approximately 20 minutes from downtown, depending on traffic. |
